Using mindminder
mindminder is a completely hands-free solution; users don't need to touch the device when in normal use as all interactions are via conversation.
Only Voice Required
Unlike Amazon Alexa, conversation is initiated by mindminder based on the schedule set by Carers.
For those who find physically interacting with a device screen or for those with sight impairment, mindminder's hands-free approach offers more accessibility than other tablet/phone-based reminder-only solutions.
Familiar
mindminder offers a number of custom voice personas/characters to allow conversation in a style most familiar to the User.
The mindminder personas can be explored Here where example conversations can be explored.
Convenient
Users can reject conversation if the time is not appropriate however rejections are logged and Carers can check on the engagement via their Carer Dashboard.
Multiple devices can be used, for example in different rooms, to deliver mindminder conversations and, of course, most devices offer portability should a User wish to take mindminder with them on their travels so long as data connectivity is sustained.
All Browser Compatibility
mindminder operates in a browser and therefore is not tied to the "App Store" of any device regarding the inability to download new applications as devices go obsolete. Most Android, Apple or Windows/Linux devices from the last 10 years should offer compatibility with mindminder so long as an internet connection is available.
It's one of mindminder's goals to minimise the need for complex hardware and most Users will have access to a suitable legacy device (often found hiding in a kitchen drawer years after upgrade).
